How long does it take to complete a painting?

Timeframes vary by tier and complexity:

  • Keepsake Edition: 1-2 weeks

  • Signature, Heritage Editions: 2–4 weeks

  • Prestige, Legacy Edition: 4–6 weeks

  • Masterpiece Series: 10 weeks for entire series commissioned at once or 3-4 weeks if commissioned individually throughout the year. 7 weeks for entire series with rush fee.

Rush delivery (within 2 weeks) is available for an additional fee (+20%)

What do I need to provide for a custom piece?

At minimum:

  • Reference photos of the car (high-res, ideally multiple angles)

  • Optional: background inspiration (photos of a garage, racetrack, or scenic location), custom requests (license plate, decals, etc.)

Some of these references/inspiration photos may/may not be used, depending on your tier level.

What’s included in the price?

Each tier includes (excluding Keepsake Edition):

  • A hand-painted original oil painting on canvas

  • Planning & concept consultation

  • Varnished and ready-to-hang finish

  • Hand-written note from artist (if requested)

Can I see the painting before it’s finished?

Yes! For Prestige Edition and above, I’ll send the pencil sketch and periodic progress updates. You’ll be able to review and request minor adjustments before final varnishing.

Do you accept returns?

Because each painting is custom-made, all sales are final. However, I’m committed to making sure you love the result, and I work closely with you during the design phase to ensure satisfaction.

Can I split the Masterpiece series paintings over time?

Yes. The Masterpiece Series includes three 24x48” (or similar sized) paintings that can be completed all at once or spaced out throughout the year. Some clients commission all of them in one season, and others build a visual story across time. We'll coordinate a schedule that suits you.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! Custom gift editions are available if you’d like to gift someone a painting but I will work with the recipient to choose their car and style (unless otherwise noted). Please inquire via email or with the form on my website.

Can I include my pet, family member, or multiple cars in the painting?

I specialized in automotive, boat, and motorcycle oil paintings, so unfortunately I do not offer portraiture. Multiple cars for a single composition are reserved for the Legacy Editions or Masterpiece Series.

Do I own the copyright to the painting once I purchase it?

You own the physical artwork, but I retain the copyright for marketing and portfolio purpose—unless otherwise agreed upon. If you'd like exclusive rights (e.g., for commercial use or to restrict reproductions), this can be arranged for an additional licensing fee. It is to be noted that I do not make print reproductions of any custom pieces. Any prints sold on my website are from personal projects or explicitly stated by the customer that I can reproduce.

Do you offer payment plans for high-tier commissions?

I understand premium artwork is an investment. For the Legacy Edition or Masterpiece Series, we can split payments into 2–3 milestones. Let me know during your consultation, and we can work out a plan.
